This is a Taylor Card Comparator Low Phosphate Test Kit. The K-1106 Kit tests for phosphate using a color card comparator system and stannous chloride.

Phosphates present a challenge because they feed algae spores. Phosphates are constantly being introduced into your swimming pool water. They are found in lawn and garden fertilizers, decaying vegetation, municipal water, cosmetic items on bathers, and even other pool chemicals. So testing for phosphates is important in taking a proactive approach to algae.
